Rous County Council - Raw Water Pump Station
Rous County Council is responsible for securing and delivering the communities precious drinking water supplies, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation services to the councils of the Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, Lismore City and Richmond Valley.
Steady State recently completed a project for Rous County Council at the Water Pump Station located at Rocky Creek Dam which is the principal supply of drinking water for all the above listed council areas. Steady State has assisted in the design, manufacture, installation and ongoing service of a full upgrade to the Pump Station responsible for providing safe drinking water to over 110,000 people in an area of 3000 km².
The Raw Water Pump Station upgrade included the following technologies and solutions:
- Switchboard design and construction
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) with remote control/monitoring functions
- Distribution board for general electrical services
- Motor Control Centre
- FAT Commissioning (Factory Acceptance Test)
- Efficient workflow and project management to minimise downtime
Tweed Shire Council - Terranora Sewerage Pump Station
The development or redevelopment of land for residential, commercial, or industrial purposes creates a need for additional capacity in water supply and sewerage systems. Steady State was recently involved in upgrading the Terranora Sewage Pump Station working alongside with the Civil Contractor, Developer, and Local Tweed Shire Council to bring about the additional capacity needed for the thriving community in the beautiful Tweed hinterland.
To achieve the capacity and efficiency necessary for the growing community the following technologies were utilised:

- SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

Norco Foods Lismore - Automation Upgrades
Norco Foods, Lismore Ice Cream Business Unit engaged Steady State to a provide a complete turnkey electrical solution for ongoing automation upgrades. Our team collaborated with Norco Engineers & Software Engineers to create and execute complex control systems across the entire site.
- Conceptual electrical designs, drafting & consulting

Doonbah, Coraki & Woodburn Quarries
Quarry Solutions designed and constructed 3 x quarry sites to supply road base, blue rock and sand for the Ballina to Woolgoolga Pacific Highway Upgrades. Plants operated at high capacity with minimum downtime to ensure the highway and civil contractors could meet their strict deadlines. Steady State was engaged to assist in multiple disciplines from start to finish to keep the project running smoothly.

Tweed Shire Council – Bilambil Sewage Pump Station
Engaged by civil contractors & developers, Steady State worked along side Tweed Shire Council to design, manufacture and install switchboards, instruments and cabling systems for a new subdivision
Lismore City Council - Chilcott's Grass Sewage Pump Station
Engaged by civil contractors & developers, Steady State worked along side Lismore City Council to design, manufacture and install switchboards, instruments and cabling systems for a new subdivision.
Rous Country Council – Nightcap Water Treatment Plant - Control Room Upgrades
Engaged by Rous County Council Steady State undertook extensive inspections & planning to design a cut over plan to decommission the existing original dead front switchboard from the original water treatment plant. The plan consisted of new custom switchboard & multiple shutdowns to ensure the plant remained operational.
ENV Solutions - PFAS Treatment Plant
Engaged by Environmental Engineering firm ENV Solutions, Steady State assisted Chemical engineers to design and construct a new technology in the form of a ground water treatment and filtration plant to help remediate sites of the PFAS chemical.
Macadamias Direct - Vacuum Sealer Automation Upgrades
Engaged by Macadamias Direct, Steady State undertook upgrades to existing machinery to upgrade redundant PLCs to new equivalents with HMIs. This included migrating and upgrading software to new platforms and recommissioning machines to ensure correct and efficient operation.
Lismore City Council - Nimbin Water Pump Station
Engaged by civil contractors, Steady State worked along side Lismore City Council to design, manufacture and install new MSB, MCC, pumps, instruments and cabling systems for a new water booster pump station to help support the water infrastructure in the Nimbin area.
